York County Recreation

Whether it's water sports on Lake Wylie, activities at one of the more than 50 public parks, working out at the Rock Hill YMCA or golf and tennis at any one of numerous facilities throughout the county, when it comes to outdoor recreation, York County offers something for everyone.

In addition, there is Kings Mountain State Park, situated on 6000 acres in northwest York County. The park offers two lakes, a boat landing, campsites, and stables.

Approximately 3.5 hours driving time to the east, the world famous beaches of South Carolina offer sunbathing, surfing and deep-sea fishing. Within a 3 hour drive to the west lies the Great Smokey Mountains, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and several ski resorts.
